A student of yoga since 2005, I was brought to yoga during a difficult time in my life. Through the physical practice of yoga and the study of yogic philosophy & texts I was able to regain strength and clarity.
I srongly believe in the benefit of a daily yoga & meditation practice in order to maintain peace and happiness in other aspects of life.
I am grateful to Stephanie Keach. Stephanie helped guide me along my 9 months/230 hours of training in 2009. During my training I cultivated a self nurturing practice for sustained mental and physical health using vinyasa flow yoga, meditation and pranayama. I also completed an additional 40 hour Vinyasa Flow training with Stephanie to fine tune my practice and teaching based on Vinyasa Yoga.
In additiona, I am grateful to Marsha McNeight for guidance in the Asthanga Yoga method. I developed a strong base and foundation with Marsha starting in 2007. While having an on again off again love affair with the Ashtanga yoga system, Marsha has always been there to welcome me home and back to the practice.
I consider my main teacher and inspriation life and those around me. I continue to nuture my own vinyasa practice by attending workshops and classes. I have a daily meditation practice as well as dharma study to keep me focused on my spirtual path.
Other amzing teachers I've practiced/studied under include Manju Jois, Tim Feldman, Dharma Mittra, Nicole Sopko, Jim Bennitt, David Regelin and Tiffany Cruikshank.
The classes I teach focus on strong and fluid sequences that include mindfulness with modifications for all bodies. I draw upon my personal practice for inspiration. Come prepared to sweat a little, laugh, and unwind. It is my hope to teach each class from a place of love and compassion while honoring the teachings and methods I've studied.
