A student at heart, Heather believes every experience and person in our lives serves as a teacher. Life’s challenges are catalysts for spiritual transformation as well as opportunities to practice radical gratitude. A designer and illustrator by trade, Heather’s day job lead her to her Yoga practice. Working in Manhattan near wonderful studios gave Heather the opportunity to practice with inspiring teachers. Immense love and gratitude to her teachers near and far, Amanda DiGiovanna, Sadie Nardini, Shannon Connell, Elena Brower, and Kancho Cameron Shayne.
Heather’s classes are playful and challenging. She merges philosophy and creatively flowing sequences to transform the mind and body. Inspired by traditional Vinyasa and Hatha, as well as Core-Strength Vinyasa and Budokon, students will get to play with movement and gain strength and flexibility—building a foundation for a safe, life-long physical practice. Ayurvedic principles are applied to Asana, Pranayama, Kirtan/chanting and meditation practices used in class to create balance from the inside out. Heather aims to show students how to bring symbiosis between work and play in their own lives by applying Yogic philosophy to daily life and associating moments in the physical practice with “real life” experiences.
Heather received her 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Training with Amanda DiGiovanna at Revolution Yoga in December 2011. She also practiced with Sadie Nardini for 2 years before receiving her Core-Strength Vinyasa Yoga Instructor's certificate in May 2011.
