Mollie came to yoga in 2001 after suffering serious injuries from a car accident. She attended two classes a week for several months, one physical and one devotional, and believes that the combination of these two practices enabled her quick recovery, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Moved by the feeling of safety provided by and the healing spirit of her first teacher, Mollie decided that she wanted to inspire others along the path of yoga and offer the same nurturing experience she had received.
Her private teachings offer an experience that is authentic to each individuals current needs & interests. She also offers a wide range of public classes that are fun, safe, laid-back, and suitable for students to begin fine-tuning their relationship and awareness of their True Self. There is always a strong emphasis on creating space within the body and mind to allow for a greater opening to this grace.
Mollie, RYT 500, has been practicing yoga for over a decade, and is most influenced by the teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, which are based upon classical Tantric Yoga philosophy and Ayurveda, a sister science of yoga. Her asana practice is most influenced by her study with Donna Farhi, Sean Corn, Leslie Kaminoff, Sadie Nardini, Elena Brower, David Swenson & Shelly Washington, from which she has created her own unique primal blend of asana.
