“It is action (karma) that makes a person great. Be great by your sadhana (spiritual practice), by your service, and by your sacrifice." ~ Shrii Shrii Anandamurti ~
Join us for a devotional week of Yoga, Meditation, Kiirtan, Ayurveda, & Selfless Service in the Himalayan foothills of the Kathmandu Valley. This is an opportunity for those wishing to fully submerge themselves in the devotional practices of yoga, ayurveda & selfless service, both morning, day and night, while basking in the beauty and grandeur of the Himalayan mountain range, and devotional spirit of the Nepali culture.
Each day will include group sadhana (spiritual practices), yoga & ayurveda workshops, journal time, walks though the Himalayan foothills, silent contemplation, cultural sharing circles, and traditional vegetarian Nepali meals. Alternative meals can be made for those with dietary needs or concerns.
Our daily afternoon sadhana will be held at an ancient Shiva temple that is thousands of years old.
On the final day of the retreat, we will volunteer at local non-profit school for a day of selfless service with the Children Of The Universe project. Those wishing to stay longer for volunteer work at the school or local women's co-op are encouraged to do so. I will be happy to set this up for you.
There will also be the option to stay on for a single day tour of Bhaktapur, which is an ancient walled city in which cars are not allowed to enter. This is one of the most devotional towns within Nepal, and my personal fave, which is why I am renaming it Bhaktipur for the time we are there.
